Last week, RAM® Mounts was happy to support higher education in hosting 27 engineering students from Western Washington University. They visited RAM® headquarters and facilities in Seattle to begin work on their class projects for MFGE 381: Manufacturing Process Planning.
Students were able to tour RAM® plastics and rubber warehouses, offering them the chance to gain real-world manufacturing and engineering skills through observation and data collection. For their class projects, students are divided into small groups and will be analyzing how RAM® X-Grip® and suction cup components are assembled to see if build efficiency and ergonomic design can be improved. In June, students will present their findings and final reports.
Check out some photos from the visit below, and don’t miss our Giving Back page to see some of the ways RAM® supports local communities.
Good luck with your class projects, students!
